Welcome, Friends
We’re all struck with the occasional intense impulse. Sometimes that impulse results in a new hairstyle or an updated wardrobe or an unplanned pregnancy. Other times it results in a new blog, like this one.
I gave up “real” blogging a year ago because I was having the suburban white girl version of an existential crisis. Don’t ask me what that entails, exactly. Just trust me when I say it’s a thing and I had it and it prevented me from writing anything more than silly one-liners on Tumblr.
But I snapped out of it as soon as I was accepted into my dream school, the University of Chicago. I’ve been riding the happy rails to jolly town ever since. Why I never picked up blogging where I left off…well, I don’t know. I guess I’ve been in a bit of a daze. But now that I’m back home after my first quarter of college, I can actually stop and soak in everything that’s transpired over the past few months. I can properly introduce old Gab to new Gab and start 2013 as SUPER SPECIAL HYBRID GAB.
Fun.
Unlike my old blog, Gabracadabra will feature both writing and drawing in every post. Naturally, neither will be particularly good. But I don’t think I can be certified as a legitimate child of the internet unless I run a blog, so…here I am. I expect blog-warming gifts.
I am in love! Even more so because I am viewing and commenting on this via my Samsung Galaxy Note and the view and annimation is flawless. *hand claps* Im so proud of you for countless reasons! Youve finished your first round of college..blogging infused with art work…Im loveing this! And all the humor and quorkiness that is you is still here :) Im so happy youre back Hehe.

Ahaha welcome back to the blogging world. Missed you very much while I browsed through blogs that made me click the X faster than you can say Quidditch (yeah that made no sense).
When I saw your first plug I thought this was going to be a sketch blog. Most of those are pretty boring if they are going on WordPress rather than just be a little Tumblr thing. So I am way glad that you decided to go hybrid.
The baby is absolutely hilarious. Little sketches = great way to keep readers entertained, I think.

Your layout is pretty sweet. I like that almost everything looks like it was sketched on a notepad. I also dig the snot coming from that baby’s nose. Totally rad, dude. Are we allowed to make any suggestions or requests for your future doodles?

I’ve been waiting for this, I used to always stalk your blog at flamora and even on the Atomic Affliction days (I wasn’t even into the blogosphere yet at those times), I’m so glad to see you’re finally blogging again.
I like the sketches and the design of your blog, I’ve been staring and browsing around the site for several minutes already. I just can’t get enough.
